History of MUN

Model UN began as a series of student-led Model League of Nations simulations. The first simulations were called an “International assembly”, the first of which was held at Oxford University in 1921. ... Another historic Model United Nations was held at St. Lawrence University from 11–13 February 1949. Model United Nations is an academic simulation of the United Nations where students play the role of delegates from different countries and attempt to solve real world issues with the policies and perspectives of their assigned country.
